  3. This is a new version of the FastFileSystem for beta testing.  There have
  4. been some significant changes made, so do not test this filesystem without
  5. first backing up your data.  The changes are:

  7. as of 40.4:
  8.  
  9.  - Should fix the longstanding lost bug where attempting to write
  10.    data to a seek offset other than 0 to a write-protected disk,
  11.    the data could be mistakenly written to the beginning of the file
  12.    if the disk is un-writeprotected and reinserted.

  14. as of 40.3:
  15.  
  16.  - Should remove the 8K and higher blocksize limit.  This should be
  17.    beneficial for prepping and formatting of partitions which are used
  18.    for streaming audio and video data capture and playback.  (Requires
  19.    V40 HDToolbox to set higher block sizes before formatting)
  20.  
  21.  - Should solve the spurious checksum error problem with busy directories
  22.    (those where deletes, exnexts, and writes all occuring all at once).
